Trailblazer's First Generation Scholar Award

The Trailblazer's First Generation Scholar Award recognizes exceptional high school juniors who are paving their own path to higher education while making a positive impact in their community.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in 11th grade in a U.S. high school

  • First-generation college student (neither parent/guardian has completed a bachelor's degree)

  • Minimum GPA of 3.75

  • Demonstrated leadership through community involvement and initiative

  • Planning to apply to college for the upcoming academic year

Award Package:

Recipients will receive comprehensive college application support, including:

  • Personalized guidance throughout the Common Application process

  • Strategic planning for college selection

  • In-depth editing and feedback for supplemental essays for three colleges of choice

  • One-on-one advising sessions to maximize application quality

Selection Process:

Applications will be evaluated based on academic achievement, community impact, personal statement, and recommendation letters.

Priority will be given to students who have initiated meaningful change in their local communities.

Important Dates

  • Application opens: November 1, 2025

  • Application deadline: December 31, 2025

  • Awardees are notified via email: February 1, 2026

Application Process:

  1. Complete the online application form available below.

  2. You will be required to submit the following materials at the time of completing the application form. Ensure that you have prepared the following materials prior to starting the form.

    • High school transcript (official or unofficial)

      • The transcript must include first semester grades from 11th grade. If unavailable, the student must submit both a high school transcript and an up-to-date report card that can displays first semester grades from 11th grade.

    • One-page resume highlighting experiences (exclude experiences prior to 9th grade)

    • Personal statement (500-750 words) describing the impact you have had in your local community and your college aspirations (file name: FirstnameLastname_TrailblazersStatement)

    • One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader*

    • Proof of first-generation status (signed statement explaining parent/guardian education history)

  3. *Your recommender should submit their letter to scholarships@noeticcollegeconsulting.com by December 31st.
