Foundation Builders: Early College Preparation Award

The Foundation Builders program is designed to provide long-term support to first-generation students starting in their freshman year, setting them on a path to become competitive college applicants through strategic planning and sustained guidance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in 9th grade in a U.S. high school

  • First-generation college student (neither parent/guardian has completed a bachelor's degree)

  • Demonstrated motivation and commitment to academic growth

  • Interest in pursuing higher education

Award Package:

Recipients will receive continuous support throughout their high school journey, including:

  • 15 consulting hours per academic year (60 hours total over 4 years)

  • Personalized four-year academic and extracurricular planning

  • Regular check-ins to assess progress and adjust strategies

  • Guidance on course selection, summer opportunities, and extracurricular involvement

  • Complete Common Application support during senior year

  • Comprehensive editing and feedback for supplemental essays for three colleges of choice

How Hours Can Be Used:

  • One-on-one meetings with your dedicated college consultant

  • Document review and editing (resumes, essays, internship applications)

  • Research and planning time for your specific college journey

  • Interview preparation

Selection Process:

Applications will be evaluated based on personal statement, teacher recommendations, and demonstrated motivation to succeed academically despite potential obstacles.

  • Application opens: November 1, 2025

  • Application deadline: December 31, 2025

  • Awardees are notified via email: February 1, 2026

Application Process:

  1. Complete the online application form available below.

  2. You will be required to submit the following materials at the time of completing the application form. Ensure that you have prepared the following materials prior to starting the form.

    • Current high school transcript (official or unofficial)

      • If a high school transcript is not yet available, the student must submit a first semester report card from 9th grade that displays up-to-date grades for all courses.

    • Personal statement (400-500 words) describing your academic goals and motivation for college (file name: FirstnameLastname_FoundationSTATEMENT)

    • Short essay (250 words) explaining how this scholarship would impact your high school journey and the experiences you hope to gain throughout your high school career (file name: FirstnameLastname_FoundationESSAY)

    • One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, mentor, or coach*

    • Proof of first-generation status (signed statement explaining parent/guardian education history)

  3. *Your recommender should submit their letter to scholarships@noeticcollegeconsulting.com by December 31st.
